From real-world complexity to products,

As a Human-Centered AI Product Builder, I turn recurring complexity into understandable flows and working software.

Portrait of Lina Noh

Journey

From the field to products, from products to research

01 · Start

The field

Supporting and operating an edtech business, I experienced first-hand the complexity created by different users and field constraints.

02 · Shift

Products

Instead of leaving problems as documents, I began structuring them directly into web, software, and automation products.

03 · Now

AI products

With Dear Me and TonePilot, I design AI automation, explanation, and user control for everyday life and creative work.

04 · Next

Research

I aim to study the conditions under which people understand and confidently direct AI, through graduate research in Human-Centered AI / HCI.

How I Work

Role and attitude

I work across disciplines

I connect planning, content, information architecture, and development into one flow — reducing what gets lost between planning and building.

I separate my contribution

I don't claim a team's results as my own; I distinguish the operations, requirements, documents, and prototypes I was directly responsible for.

I call learning "learning"

Skills I'm still learning are labeled Learning on the Skills page, never listed as if mastered.

I don't hide failures or next plans

Openly sharing failures, pauses, and next steps is part of how I earn trust.

Philosophy

Five principles

People firstStart from people's recurring burdens, not from technology.
Speak of changeTalk about the understanding, time, and confidence users gain — not features.
Correctable AIAim for AI that admits it can be wrong and can be fixed, rather than "perfect" AI.
Preserve controlAutomation must never take away the user's control.
Reasons as evidenceShow why something was designed that way, not just that it was built.

Playing the guitar

Beyond Work

Outside of work

I play guitar and love band music — TonePilot began there. Wanting to truly understand my own living expenses became Dear Me. Both projects started from complexity I experienced myself.

is through the two case studies.
